Meritorious student Maheshwari Korram from North Bastar Kanker district received special encouragement from the state government after securing 96.40% marks in the Class 12 Board Examination and achieving the 10th position in the State Top-10 merit list of the Board of Secondary Education. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai presented financial assistance of ₹1 lakh under the Chief Minister Noni Babu Meritorious Education Assistance Scheme and an additional ₹1 lakh as a two-wheeler (scooter) grant during a program held in Raipur. According to labour department officials, Maheshwari Korram, a resident of Kanapod village in Charama block of Kanker district, is the daughter of Mrs. Anita Korram, a registered worker under the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. Based on this eligibility, the financial assistance was sanctioned under the Chief Minister Noni Babu Meritorious Education Assistance Scheme administered by the Labour Department. The event was attended by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai along with Labour Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan, Board Chairman Dr. Rampratap Singh, Labour Commissioner Himshikhar Gupta, Board Secretary Girish Ramteke, and other officials and employees of the Labour Department.
