Jitendra Sharma from Aligarh was martyred in an Indian Air Force AN-32 transport aircraft crash in Assam during landing on Saturday morning around 10 am. His mortal remains are expected to reach his native village on Monday around 2 pm. Circle Officer Khair, Sanjeev Kumar Tomar, informed the family that coordination has been completed with concerned officials. It has also been decided that the coffin of martyr Jitendra Sharma will not be opened. Meanwhile, the martyr’s 72-year-old mother, Rajeshwari, has not yet been informed about his death due to her prolonged heart ailment. She has been kept alone at home to avoid any shock, while other family members, including his sisters and brother, have reached the village and are staying at their uncle’s residence. The family remains in deep grief. The village atmosphere is filled with mourning as well as pride, with slogans being raised in honour of the martyr. Banners and hoardings have been put up across the village, paying tribute to his sacrifice. The Indian Air Force AN-32 crash had claimed the lives of Jitendra Sharma and four others. Know who was Sergeant Jitendra Sharma Jitendra Sharma, a resident of village Salpur in Aligarh, was the youngest among seven siblings. In the family, his mother Rajeshwari Devi and two elder brothers Ramakant and Bhupendra live together. He was selected in the Indian Air Force on January 1, 2015. He served the nation for about 11 years. He completed his high school and intermediate education from DRG Inter College, Dhanipura Kurana in the Tappal area. After that, he took coaching in Aligarh and was selected in the Indian Air Force. Jitendra’s father Kalicharan alias Karua Sharma had passed away about 12 years ago. After the father’s death, mother Rajeshwari Devi raised all the children. Family members said that Jitendra had recently come to the village on leave and returned to duty on June 5. Discussions were also going on in the house regarding his wedding preparations. He had also seen a girl for marriage and the family was about to proceed with the wedding process soon. But before that, he died in the accident, which turned the entire family’s happiness into mourning.
