The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a series of senior-level appointments in the Ministry of Home Affairs, appointing Alok Kumar Mittal as Director General of the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), Amit Garg as Director of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), and Sujeet Pandey as Director of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA). The appointments are aimed at strengthening leadership across key police and law enforcement institutions. Alok Kumar Mittal Appointed DG, BPR&D The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Alok Kumar Mittal as Director General, BPR&D. He will assume charge from the date of joining and serve until June 30, 2029. Amit Garg Named Director, NCRB The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has appointed Amit Garg as Director, National Crime Records Bureau, with the post temporarily upgraded to DG level on a personal basis. He will serve until October 31, 2027. Sujeet Pandey Appointed Director, SVPNPA The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Sujeet Pandey as Director of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy.
