From MP Chief Secretary to NITI Aayog CEO: Anurag Jain’s big elevation NITI Aayog has welcomed Shri Anurag Jain as its new Chief Executive Officer. Shri Anurag Jain, a 1989-batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, brings with him nearly four decades of experience in public administration and policymaking. He has previously served in key positions including Chief Secretary, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) His appointment is seen as a big move to strengthen NITI Aayog’s role in policy planning and state-center coordination ahead of 2029.
