An amount of more than Rs 631 crore will be transferred to the accounts of 67 lakh 28 thousand 918 sisters in a function organized in Dandilhora. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai will transfer the 31st installment of Mahatari Vandan Yojana amounting to Rs 631 crore 38 lakh 37 thousand 700 to the accounts of 67 lakh 28 thousand 918 beneficiaries on the occasion of the felicitation ceremony of Bihan Didi and Self-Help Groups organised at Lal Raghuveer Singh Stadium in Doondilhora, the development block headquarters of Balod district on August 25. It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Shri Vishnubhaiyya will benefit women by directly transferring funds under the Mahatari Vandan Yojana (Mahatma Vandan Yojana) to their accounts just before Rakshabandhan. The monthly funds received through this ambitious state government scheme are proving extremely helpful for women’s social and economic empowerment, as well as for medical care, health, and nutrition. Furthermore, this amount is being used by women in the state to contribute to the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana for a secure and happy future for their daughters, as well as to undertake various economic activities. So far, ₹19,444 crore in 30 installments of assistance has been provided to women under the Mahatari Vandan Yojana. It is noteworthy that the 31st installment of assistance for September 2026 is due to be paid in September, but as a gift to the sisters, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai will transfer the September amount to their accounts before the Rakhi festival.
