West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari led a 3-kilometer-long ‘Bhagwa Samman Yatra’ near Jadavpur University on Wednesday in Kolkata. He stated that forces raising slogans like ‘Kashmir wants freedom’ on the university campus will be uprooted. The march started from Golpark in South Kolkata and concluded at the 8B bus stand outside Jadavpur University. A large number of seers and hundreds of BJP supporters participated in it. Throughout the yatra, slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ were chanted. Officials dressed in saffron clothes and carrying saffron flags led the march. In recent days, clashes, graffiti, and sloganeering have escalated between left-leaning student organizations and the RSS-affiliated ABVP. Less than two weeks before the march, Shubhendu Adhikari had attended an event outside the university where around 10,000 people sang the full version of ‘Vande Mataram’.
