Jaishankar addressed the opening ceremony of the BRICS Business Forum, emphasizing the importance of resilience and sustainability in global economic strategies. “Resilience, therefore, has become central to any nation’s economic strategy while fostering and promoting sustainability, all through deeper cooperation and stronger partnerships. It is here that BRICS brings particular relevance,” Jaishankar said. Highlighting the strength of the grouping, he further added, “BRICS today brings together economies with diverse and yet complementary resources, markets, capabilities, and experience. It provides a platform to compare approaches, substantive arrangements, and widen the choices available to each of us.” The EAM noted that India offers a growing market, manufacturing strength and a digital edge to BRICS partners.
