MP’s Education Reformer: Abhishek Singh Clears 400 Cases in 12 Hours

In a decisive move to clear long-pending compassionate appointment cases in the School Education Department, officers were suddenly summoned to Bhopal. The Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) directed all Divisional Joint Directors to reach the capital immediately.

Following the directive, in a marathon exercise lasting about 12 hours on Tuesday, nearly 400 appointment orders were issued. On Wednesday, about 190 more orders were to be issued, taking the total to nearly 590 cases in just two days.

Reports suggest that more than 1,100 compassionate appointment cases had been pending in the School Education Department for nearly a decade. To clear this backlog, divisional officers were called to Bhopal along with complete records.

On Monday, the DPI issued instructions to all divisional Joint Directors to report to Bhopal. The officers reached the capital overnight. On Tuesday, Commissioner, Public Instruction, Shri Abhishek Singh personally reviewed all pending cases along with the Joint Directors.

Technical staff were also present in the meeting with seniority lists, vacancy positions and case records made available at a single point, ensuring quick verification and on-the-spot disposal of cases.

This swift action under Commissioner Abhishek Singh’s leadership is being seen as a major relief for hundreds of families who had been waiting for years, and a model of efficient and sensitive administration.
