SC Collegium Meeting on 26th October 2026 Clears Names for HC Chief Justices

In a significant judicial development, the Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held on 26th October 2026, has recommended the elevation of four Judges as Chief Justices of various High Courts.

List of Recommendations:

1. Justice Manash Ranjan Pathak (Parent HC: Gauhati, Presently in Gujarat HC) – Recommended as Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court.
2. Justice P. Sam Koshy (Parent HC: Chhattisgarh, Presently in Telangana HC) – Recommended as Chief Justice of Delhi High Court.
3. Justice Tapabrata Chakraborty (Presently in Calcutta HC) – Recommended as Chief Justice of Telangana High Court.
4. Justice Sudhir Singh (Presently in Patna HC) – Recommended as Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High Court.
