The US President Donald Trump demanded on Friday that Microsoft immediately dismiss their Global Affairs president Lisa Monaco. In a post on social media platform Truth Social, Trump called Monaco corrupt and completely anti-Trump. Additionally, he accused her of endangering national security. Trump says that Monaco is a threat to America due to her previous government roles. He wrote, “Microsoft has major contracts with the US government, in such a situation Monaco’s presence there is a risk to national security.” Monaco should be fired immediately: Trump Trump claimed that due to Monaco’s wrongdoings, the US government recently revoked all her security clearances, blocked her access to national security intelligence information, and banned her entry to all federal properties. Trump said, ‘In my opinion, Microsoft should immediately fire Lisa Monaco.’ However, Microsoft has not yet given any official response to Trump’s demand. Who is Lisa Monaco? According to Reuters, Lisa Monaco started working at Microsoft in July and is handling the company’s global government relations responsibilities. Her LinkedIn profile also confirms this. Previously, she served as National Security Advisor in former US President Barack Obama’s administration. Monaco played a key role in the Justice Department’s response to the January 6 Capitol attack and was Deputy Attorney General in the Biden administration. Trump believes that Monaco participated in legal actions against him during the Biden administration, which is why she should not hold such a sensitive position at Microsoft.
