In Multai of Betul district, a couple jumped into a dam after leaving behind their one-and-a-half-year-old child. The woman’s body has been recovered, while police and a team of divers are still searching for the man. Shubham Kardate (25) and Roshni (22) had a love marriage three and a half years ago. However, disputes began between them after marriage. The two had an argument again on Friday night. On Saturday morning at around 9 AM, they left their one-and-a-half-year-old son by the roadside and jumped into the Bukakhedi dam. Eyewitness alerts police Munna Parihar, a resident of Hatnapur, witnessed the couple jumping into the dam. He immediately informed the villagers, after which Station In-charge Devkaran Daheria reached the spot with the police force and began a search operation. Following the incident, villagers have taken the child into their care. Family members said the couple often had disputes. Woman’s body recovered According to Shubham’s uncle, Deepak Pawar, police have recovered Roshni’s body. Shubham’s family consists of his parents, while his sister is married.
