Read the report… ASP Vijay Dawar informed that five-year-old Vikas Bhuria was murdered by breaking into his house on Friday morning. The accused Mahesh Mayda (24) dismembered the child into three pieces with a faliya (sharp weapon). He also attacked the child’s mother, Sonabai. After the incident, people caught and tied up the accused. They also beat him. Mahesh succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital. Only one question – If there was no enmity, why was the innocent child killed? Dhoobaydi Mohalla is located 10 kilometers from Kukshi on the Alirajpur State Highway, adjacent to the main road. About two kilometers ahead is Aali village. Kalu Singh’s house is 100 meters from the main road. It’s a 20 by 30 house. It has three rooms and a kitchen. The walls are not plastered. There is also a one bigha field behind the house. A path from the house opens towards the field. Sonabai looks after the farming. Her husband Kalu also helps from time to time. By profession, he is a driver. They have two daughters, Radhika and Divya. Their youngest and only son was five-year-old Vikas Bhuria. There are four-five houses nearby, and only family members live in them. After the incident, about 15 to 20 relatives were gathered outside the house. Blood is still spread in the room where the innocent child was murdered. Seeing these marks, mother Sonabai keeps crying. A sickle and bow-and-arrow are hung in this very room. Mother Sonabai and the people present had only one question in their minds, why did the accused kill the innocent child? The two had no relation whatsoever, no enmity, and no acquaintance. Then why was the innocent child killed so brutally? People nearby are not coming forward out of fear. What happened on the day of the incident First attacked the husband, then killed the son Sonabai said, it was around 10:15 AM on Friday. I was working in a room. Vikas was also playing nearby. My husband was working outside. The daughters were also with him. During this, Mahesh Mayda came inside the house. He sat on the cot kept in the same room. He was not wearing slippers on his feet. Seeing him, I asked if he had come from Pavagadh? Have you lost your way? Who are you? He didn’t say anything. He kept looking around for two-three minutes. He also asked for water. I gave him water. Then I called my husband. I said – show them the way to the road. My husband came inside. During this, the young man saw the axe hanging on the wall and picked it up. He started brandishing the axe. He attacked my husband, but he ducked, so he was saved. Seeing this, both of them screamed. I thought the young man had come to kill my husband. I screamed and told my husband to run away through the back door. Hearing this, my husband ran outside. Meanwhile, the daughters had also come inside. I took both of them and ran out through the back door. In the hurry, Vikas was left behind. When I realized, I ran back inside to get my son. Meanwhile, the accused attacked my son’s neck with a falia (a type of axe-like weapon) in front of me. He made two more strikes. He cut my son into three pieces in front of me. Blood splattered across the room. I was stunned. I couldn’t understand anything. When I was about to grab his hand, he attacked me too. I stepped back, but the blow landed on my shoulder. It was as if he had gone mad with bloodlust. I understood that he would kill me too, so I also ran. I started shouting outside, then the people nearby and my husband came. He stood at the main door with the blood-stained falia. He stood there for about five minutes. No one dared to go near him. Meanwhile, the villagers gathered, then they caught him and tied him with a rope. They informed the police. The crowd tied up and beat the accused It is being said that the angry people present at the spot caught and tied up the accused. After this, they severely beat him. The accused died during treatment at the hospital. However, when Dainik Bhaskar’s team asked people about this, they admitted it in hushed tones, but no one was willing to come on camera. People said that at that time, the accused was in a rage. If they had let him go or not caught him, he probably would have killed more people. People are also not coming forward due to fear of the police. They are afraid that the police might make them the accused. Accused’s brother said – he had left with his bike in the morning The accused Mahesh Mayda (24) was a resident of Vagdi village in Jobat, Alirajpur district.
