Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has said that Bastar is transforming — the region is no longer clouded by guns and gunpowder, but filled with the winds of development and trust. The Chief Minister stated that the state government’s “Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy 2025” and the humanitarian campaign “Poona Margeim: From Rehabilitation to Rebirth” have rekindled a ray of hope in the hearts of those who had once strayed onto the path of left-wing extremism. He informed that today, in Narayanpur district, 16 Maoist cadres have courageously chosen to abandon violence and return to the mainstream. These cadres collectively carried a reward of ₹48 lakh, and have now embraced a new life of peace, education, and dignity. Shri Sai emphasized that the people’s growing trust in government policies and the firm resolve of security forces have together established an atmosphere of development and confidence in the region. Over the past 20 months, a total of 1,837 Maoists have surrendered and joined the mainstream. This transformation, the Chief Minister said, is proof that the “Double Engine Government’s” policies are not only restoring peace but also leading Bastar into a new era of progress. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai concluded by saying that the state government’s goal is not merely to end Naxalism, but to bring the light of development, education, and self-reliance to every village in Bastar.
