Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that ensuring affordable and quality healthcare services is the topmost priority of the state government. He was addressing the national conference on Critical Care – “Criticon Raipur 2025”, held today at a private hotel in Naya Raipur, the state capital. The Chief Minister said that Criticon Raipur 2025 serves as a platform for innovation and excellence in medical science, particularly in the field of critical care. It brings together experts and researchers from India and abroad, providing an opportunity to set new directions in this vital area. He emphasized that critical care medicine is the backbone of life-saving healthcare, offering new hope to patients in severe conditions. The state government, he added, is focusing on expanding hospitals, critical care units, and medical facilities in both rural and urban areas. Mr. Sai further stated that a Medicity and Pharma Hub is being developed in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, while new hospitals are being established in other cities across the state. These initiatives, he said, will mark milestones in Chhattisgarh’s healthcare sector. Congratulating the Ramakrishna Care Group for organizing this national event, the Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh is emerging as a center of medical excellence at the national level. Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Dr. Raman Singh, said that it is a matter of pride for Raipur to host a conference on such a crucial subject as critical care. He expressed confidence that the two-day deliberations among experts will lead to innovative breakthroughs that will prove to be a boon for human health and treatment. Dr. Singh highlighted that with the use of artificial intelligence and robotics technology, new possibilities for treatment are emerging in the medical field — technologies that are shaping the new story of a new India. Appreciating the role of doctors, he said that critical care specialists play a vital role in saving lives and alleviating fear in emergency situations. He stressed the need for critical care units in every district and major hospital, noting that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, both the central and state governments are actively working toward this goal. He also highlighted that under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, free treatment up to ₹5 lakh is providing great relief to the common people. During the event, doctors from India and abroad, as well as from various parts of Chhattisgarh, were honored for their outstanding contributions to the healthcare sector.
