Late Sunday night, a young man died after touching a high-tension wire while trying to scare away monkeys with an iron rod. He fell from the roof of a three-story building and died on the spot. Police say it was an accidental death and have started investigating. The incident happened at a factory in Gokulpur, run by Shiv Prasad Patel. The youth, Sanjay, had gone to the roof at night for some work. The high-tension wire passing near the building caused the accident. Body severely burnt in just a few seconds According to information, Sanjay Yadav, a resident of Kajrawara, had picked up an iron rod in his hand to scare away monkeys. As soon as the rod hit the high-tension line passing overhead, Sanjay was caught by a strong electric current. In just a few seconds, his body was severely burnt, and he fell on the roof, burnt alive. Hearing the bang, people nearby were scared. Two pictures of the accident Police team stopped the electricity supply Upon receiving information about the incident, Ranjhi CSP Satish Sahu and police station staff reached the spot. The electricity department was immediately informed to shut down the power line. After the line was shut down, Sanjay was brought down, but by then he had already died. Electricity department officials also reached the spot and inspected the condition of the high-tension line. CSP Satish Sahu stated that the police have registered a case of accidental death and started an investigation. The deceased’s family was informed late at night. Sanjay’s post-mortem will be conducted today at the Medical College. ​
