MarchYouth to participate in the padyatra from Sardar Patel’s karmabhoomi Karamsad to the Statue of Unity, Kevadia Youth from the state will participate in the padyatra from Sardar Patel’s karmabhoomi Karamsad to the Statue of Unity in Kevadia. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today flagged off a team of 68 youths from the state who are leaving for Gujarat to take part in the padyatra organized on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The flag-off ceremony was held at the Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission office in Raipur. These youths will join the national padyatra from Karamsad, the workplace of Sardar Patel, to Kevadia. Chief Minister Sai said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel laid the foundation of an integrated India by uniting 562 princely states and the territories under British rule. His strong willpower, unwavering determination, and tireless efforts wove India into a single thread. The Chief Minister said that recently he participated in the Bharat Parv organized in Kevadia, Gujarat, where he visited the world’s tallest statue—the Statue of Unity—and witnessed the vibrant display of India’s cultural unity. On this occasion, Chhattisgarh’s rich culture, diversity, and cuisine were also showcased. He added that from 26 November to 6 December, public representatives from across the country will join the Unity March along with the youth of Chhattisgarh, which is a matter of pride for all of us. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao said that Sardar Patel’s contribution to the cultural and geographical unity of India is incomparable. He accomplished the historic task of merging the princely states, which became the foundation of India’s unity and integrity. He extended his best wishes and congratulations to the selected youth for the national padyatra.Jagdalpur MLA Shri Kiran Singh Deo also addressed the youth, wishing them a bright future and success in the padyatra. On this occasion, Raipur District Panchayat President Shri Naveen Agrawal, former MLA Shri Naveen Markandey, Shri G. Venkat Rao, Shri Shyam Narang, Shri Rahul Tikria, Sports and Youth Welfare Department Secretary Shri Yashwant Kumar, along with a large number of youths, officers, and employees were present.
