Chief Minister attends the annual conference of the Kanwar community

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today attended the All India Kanwar Community Annual Conference held at Boirodadar in Raigarh as the chief guest. Fulfilling the community’s request, he inaugurated the first floor of the community hall constructed at a cost of ₹30 lakh. Senior members of the community welcomed and honored the Chief Minister with traditional rituals.

While paying tribute to the pioneers of the Kanwar community, Chief Minister Sai said that the development of any society is possible only through education. He emphasized that education is not just a path to jobs but a medium to achieve success in various fields. Educating every son and daughter will strengthen society. He reiterated that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to the upliftment and welfare of tribal communities. Various government schemes dedicated to the development of tribal areas are providing significant benefits to the people. He urged everyone to make full use of the government’s welfare schemes.

Remembering the contribution of tribal communities in the freedom struggle, Chief Minister Sai said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has elevated the honor of the tribal community by declaring 15 November, the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, as Tribal Pride Day. He said that to mainstream tribal communities, the Prime Minister has launched the Dharti Aaba Gram Utkarsh and PM Janman programs. These initiatives represent the largest campaign for tribal welfare since India’s independence. Through these schemes, all essential facilities are being made available to tribal families, leading to rapid development in tribal regions.

The Chief Minister added that during the silver jubilee celebrations of Chhattisgarh’s formation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Tribal Freedom Fighter Memorial-cum-Museum in Raipur. This museum showcases the contributions of Chhattisgarh’s freedom fighters in a vivid manner. It will inspire future generations with stories of valor and sacrifice, bringing pride to the tribal community.

Reflecting on 25 years of Chhattisgarh’s formation, the Chief Minister paid tribute to former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee and highlighted the state’s development in PDS, roads, electricity, water, education, and health sectors. He said that after the formation of the state, development has reached every village. Although Naxalism has been the biggest obstacle to development, the government’s efforts have weakened it significantly. The central government aims to eliminate Naxalism by 31 March 2026.

Speaking about the state’s new industrial policy, the Chief Minister shared that investment proposals exceeding ₹8 lakh crore have been received. The government is working to connect youth with employment and self-employment opportunities through industries. He emphasized that various schemes run by the government aim to empower all communities, and people should take full advantage of them.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister made several important announcements, including the construction of another cultural hall for the Kanwar community in Boirodadar, Raigarh, and a CC road connecting it to the main road. He also announced the construction of a new community hall in Turtura (Lailunga) and extensions of community halls built in Lailunga and Gharghoda.

The event was attended by the Chief Minister’s wife Mrs. Kaushalya Sai, Lok Sabha MP Radheshyam Rathiya, Rajya Sabha MP Devendra Pratap Singh, Mayor Jivardhan Chauhan, District Panchayat Vice President Deepak Sidar, Bharat Sai, Satyanand Rathiya, Anantaram Pankara, and other dignitaries.
