Logo Reflecting Chhattisgarh’s Cultural and Literary Heritage The logo of the Raipur Literature Festival beautifully represents Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural and literary heritage. It symbolizes the identity of the state, highlighting Bastar’s biodiversity, tribal traditions, and the cultural importance of the salfi (toddy palm) tree—considered the soul of Chhattisgarh. The logo depicts the shape of the Chhattisgarh state map formed by a salfi tree, conveying that the state’s civilization, culture, and literature have been nurtured by this land for centuries. The salfi tree symbolizes ancient traditions, harmony, and unity. By including it in the logo, the message is that tribal literature, folk beliefs, and traditional knowledge systems of Chhattisgarh remain central to contemporary literary discourse. The phrase “Aadi Se Anaadi Tak” (From Beginning to Eternity) in the logo signifies the timeless journey of literature—from ancient writings to ever-evolving modern literature. It highlights that literature transcends time, connecting generations, languages, societies, and eras. Similarly, the line “Sursari Sam Sabke Hit Hoi” compares literature to the river Ganga—free-flowing, inclusive, and beneficial to all. It conveys that literature embraces all castes, classes, traditions, and ways of life, guiding society and paving the path for collective well-being. A Symbol of Cultural Pride The Raipur Literature Festival logo is a matter of cultural pride for the entire state. It beautifully blends ancient literary roots, tribal traditions, social harmony, and modern creative vision. It sends a strong message that Chhattisgarh’s literary journey—from beginning to eternity—has been continuous, vibrant, and enriching, and it will continue to write new chapters of growth.
