Second Batch of Mukhyamantri Good Governance Fellowship Launched at IIM Raipur 36 Young Fellows to Drive Policy, Administration, and Citizen-Centric Reforms Across Chhattisgarh 36 Young Leaders Begin Journey as Good Governance Fellows Under CM Vishnu Deo Sai’s Vision IIM Raipur Orientation Kicks Off MBA in Public Policy & Governance 2026-28 Batch The second batch of the Mukhyamantri Good Governance Fellowship was launched at the Indian Institute of Management Raipur.Organised jointly by the Good Governance and Convergence Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, and IIM Raipur, the orientation and inaugural programme for the MBA (Public Policy & Governance) 2026-28 batch was held in line with the vision of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. The initiative aims to prepare the state’s youth for leadership roles in administrative efficiency, policy-making, and public service. 36 Talented Youth to Power Good GovernanceUnder the Mukhyamantri Good Governance Fellowship scheme, 36 talented youth selected from 19 districts of the state will pursue a two-year MBA in Public Policy & Governance. Among the selected fellows, 12 belong to Scheduled Tribes and 4 to Scheduled Castes. The programme will give the state’s youth a ground-level understanding of governance and develop them as transformative leaders.During the fellowship, participants will undergo 5 months of high-level academic training at IIM Raipur, followed by 19 months of field work in various state government departments and districts. This will provide hands-on experience in policy formulation, programme implementation, administrative innovation, and practical aspects of good governance. Chief guest and Secretary, CM Secretariat and Good Governance & Convergence Department, Shri Rahul Bhagat, said good governance is not limited to policy-making alone. Effective implementation, time-bound delivery of services to citizens, and result-oriented administration are equally important. He called on students to adopt values of public service, ethical leadership, innovation, and accountability.Special Secretary Shri Rajat Bansal and Joint Secretary Shri Mayank Agrawal shared experiences on digital governance, administrative reforms, policy-making, and data-driven decision processes. They urged students to actively participate in the state’s development. Only bona fide residents of Chhattisgarh are selected for the Mukhyamantri Good Governance Fellowship, based on a valid CAT score and a standardised, transparent selection process set by IIM Raipur. The 36 fellows selected through this competitive process represent 19 districts and will take forward a new chapter in good governance. The Mukhyamantri Good Governance Fellowship is emerging as a significant and visionary initiative to build citizen-centric and innovation-driven administrative leadership in Chhattisgarh.
