President Droupadi Murmu on Monday conferred gallantry and distinguished service awards on personnel of the Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and other security agencies during the Defence Investiture Ceremony 2026 (Phase-II) held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The awards recognise acts of exceptional bravery, distinguished service and dedication to duty in operations related to counter-terrorism, counter-insurgency and national security, as well as in aviation, maritime and humanitarian missions. The ceremony highlighted the contributions of personnel serving in challenging environments, including Jammu and Kashmir, the North-East and along India’s borders.
