Bhopal Crime Branch Dismantles Illegal Arms Factory In Tikamgarh

Additional DCP Bhopal Crime Banch, Shailendra Singh Chouhan Nabs Unit’s Inter-State Network, Huge Cache of Weapon-Making Machinery Seized.

Additional DCP (Bhopal Crime Banch), Shailendra Singh Chouhan said that acting on intelligence inputs, the Crime Branch officials of the city raided the Nishatpura area of Bhopal and detained three suspects linked to vehicle theft and illegal arms supply. During interrogation, the accused named Mukhtar Khan, was later arrested with a high-quality pistol. He confessed to having purchased the weapon for Rs 32,000 from Surendra Vishwakarma of Tikamgarh.

Further raids in Ramgarh village, Tikamgarh, led to the seizure of a large cache of weapon-making machinery, including lathes, welding and drilling machines, pistol barrels, magazines, iron frames, live rounds, and other parts capable of producing dozens of firearms.

Additional DCP Shailendra Singh Chouhan said that the key accused, Surendra Vishwakarma, has a long criminal history, including robbery and multiple Arms Act cases. His father Anandilal, partner Mukhtar Khan, and several others are also facing charges. One accused, Narendra Pratap Singh, remains absconding.
