In a significant administrative move, the Madhya Pradesh government has transferred senior IAS officer Dr. Rajesh Rajora from the ministry and appointed him Director General of RCVP Noronha Administration and Management Academy, Bhopal.

Dr. Rajora, a 1990-batch IAS officer, was among the frontrunners for the post of Chief Secretary. Until now, he was serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Narmada Valley Development Department and Additional Chief Secretary, Water Resources Department.

The transfer comes at a time when 1991-batch IAS officer Ashok Varnwal has taken charge as the new Chief Secretary
As per administrative convention, a senior IAS officer is not posted under a junior Chief Secretary in the secretariat. Following this tradition, Dr. Rajora has been moved out of the ministry.

The RCVP Noronha Academy is the state’s premier institution for training administrative officers and staff. As Director General, Dr. Rajora will now oversee administrative training, capacity building, and good governance programs for the state bureaucracy.
