Chandigarh Police have registered an FIR and said the initial probe indicates a possible plan to carry out terrorist activity in the city. Security has been tightened, and authorities said residents should not panic, as necessary precautionary measures are being taken. Pakistani weapons recovered on August 11 Earlier, on August 11, Chandigarh Police arrested three youths from Jind allegedly linked to the Deepak Nandal gang. The accused—Ajay (19), Rohit (18) and Dev (18)—were found with three foreign-made pistols, including a Zigana pistol, two magazines and 19 live cartridges. According to police, the weapons were dropped by a drone from Pakistan in Tarn Taran and were later transported for supply elsewhere. ​
