Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated the ‘Jashpur Express’ scheme.

On Rakshabandhan, ‘Vishnu Bhaiya’ gave the gift of self-reliance to 50 sisters, handed over e-rickshaws.

Sisters tied Rakhi on the Chief Minister’s wrist, the Chief Minister presented a saree and sweets and wished him on Rakshabandhan.

The Chief Minister performed the Bhoomi Pujan for development works including Bagiya Rest House, to be built at a cost of about Rs 3 crore.

On the auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai launched the “Jashpur Express” scheme at the Bagiya Camp office today, taking a significant initiative towards women’s empowerment and self-employment. On this occasion, the Chief Minister provided e-rickshaws to 50 women from Jashpur district, connecting them to new paths of livelihood and economic self-reliance.

In the warm atmosphere of Rakshabandhan, sisters from self-help groups tied a Rakhi on Chief Minister Shri Sai’s wrist and wished him a healthy and long life. The Chief Minister also extended his Rakshabandhan greetings to the sisters, presenting them with saris and sweets. The Chief Minister’s warm interaction with the sisters made the event special.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that women’s economic independence is the foundation of a strong family and a prosperous society. Today, our sisters are writing a new chapter of self-reliance by engaging in various livelihood activities through self-help groups. E-rickshaws will not only serve as a means of transportation for them, but will also become a means of regular income and respectable self-employment.

He said that the state government’s effort is to not only provide financial assistance to women but also to connect them with such livelihood activities through which they can stand on their own feet and further strengthen their role in the economic progress of the family.

Last Rakshabandhan, 14 sisters were gifted e-rickshaws, this time 50 sisters.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this initiative to connect women with self-employment is steadily progressing. Last Rakshabandhan, 14 women from self-help groups were provided e-rickshaws. This year, 50 more women have been provided e-rickshaws through the “Jashpur Express” scheme.

He informed that 92 e-rickshaws have been provided to women in the capital Raipur to connect them with self-employment. Today, women driving e-rickshaws are earning up to 15,000 rupees per month. This has not only increased their family income but also boosted their self-confidence and financial independence.

The Chief Minister said that when a sister earns her own living, the entire family benefits. This income supports many tasks, such as children’s education, family needs, and saving for the future. The government’s goal is to connect as many women in the state as possible with such income-generating activities.

From grocery and vegetable businesses to e-rickshaws, didis are making progress in every field.

Chief Minister Shri Sai, praising the efforts of women in self-help groups, said, “Today, our Didis are engaged in numerous livelihood activities, including grocery stores, vegetable businesses, and various small enterprises. Women are now also taking up services like e-rickshaws.”

He said that with changing times, new self-employment opportunities are being created for women. The government is also continuously working to provide women with training, financial assistance, and market connections, so that their enterprises are sustainable and their incomes grow steadily.

The Chief Minister said that Mudra loans are also available to women to start self-employment and expand their businesses. Women should take maximum advantage of these schemes and start enterprises according to their interests and capabilities.

Jashpur Express will make the path to self-reliance easier

Through the “Jashpur Express” scheme, an effort has been made to connect women with local employment by providing them with e-rickshaws. This will provide women with a regular source of income and, on the other hand, improve local transportation.

Chief Minister Shri Sai congratulated the women who received e-rickshaws and urged them to move forward with confidence and set an example of economic self-reliance through their hard work. He said that today, the women of Chhattisgarh are proving their capabilities in every field. Through government schemes and their hard work, they are not only becoming the economic strength of their families but are also making significant contributions to the state’s development.

Bhoomipujan for development works in Bagiya

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai also announced development projects for the Bagiya area. He performed the groundbreaking ceremony for a rest house to be built in Bagiya at a cost of approximately Rs 3 crore. He also performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a concrete road leading to Yadav Mohalla in Bagiya.

The Chief Minister said that expanding essential infrastructure and civic amenities in rural areas is a priority for the state government. The development of roads, buildings, and other basic amenities in villages not only enhances people’s lives but also accelerates local development.

With the love of Rakhi, the resolve to become self-reliant

The program, organized on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, also featured a cordial conversation between the sisters and the Chief Minister. The sisters from the self-help group expressed their affection by tying a Rakhi on the Chief Minister’s wrist. The Chief Minister presented the sisters with a sari and sweets, wishing them a happy, prosperous, and self-reliant future.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the love and blessings of the sisters inspire him to work tirelessly for the state’s development and public service. The government is committed to ensuring that every sister in the state has the opportunity to progress, become economically empowered, and, along with her family, contribute to Chhattisgarh’s prosperity.

On this occasion, Collector Mr. Rohit Vyas, Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Lal Umed Singh, Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Mr. Abhishek Kumar along with officers-employees and a large number of women from self-help groups were present.
