A large crane suddenly fell onto an under-construction building in the Kudasan area near Gandhinagar on Wednesday. Around 10 to 15 workers who were working below are feared to be trapped under the debris and heavy parts of the crane. Another crane has been brought in to help clear the debris. As soon as the accident was reported, police and more than four fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. A rescue operation has been launched to pull out the trapped workers. Ambulances have also been deployed at the site to take the injured to hospital. Gandhinagar Municipal Commissioner and Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi have also reached the site.
