Centre Notifies Appointment of 14 Judicial Officers as High Court Judges 7 Officers Elevated to Delhi High Court, 7 More to J&K, Jharkhand and Karnataka HCs; Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal Announces The Government notified the appointment of 14 judicial officers as Judges and Additional Judges of four High Courts — Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Jharkhand and Karnataka. The appointments were recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium headed by CJI Surya Kant in its meeting held on 10th September, 2026. High Court Wise List of Appointees: 1. Delhi High Court – 7 Judges As Judges: Smt. Nivedita Anil Sharma Smt. Nisha Sahay Saxena As Additional Judges: Sanjay Sharma Bharat Parashar Dr. (Smt.) Aditi Choudhary Dinesh Bhatt Arun Bhardwaj (Incumbent Registrar General, Delhi High Court) 2. Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court – 1 Judge Yash Paul Bourney – Appointed as Judge 3. Jharkhand High Court – 3 Judges Manoj Prasad Akhil Kumar Ram Sharma 4. Karnataka High Court – 3 Additional Judges Smt. Usharani K.S. Bharath Kumar Smt. Nerale V. Bhavani The appointments will strengthen the functioning of the respective High Courts. The Delhi High Court, which has a sanctioned strength of 60, is currently functioning with 44 judges.
