Chhattisgarh’s Water Leadership in Focus: Secretary Rajesh Toppo to Chair National Best Practices Session on Water Conservation PF5 Best Practices Session on Sept 24: National Water Mission Brings Together Top Bureaucrat’s & Scientists From North Tripura to Surat: 5 Best Water Governance Models to be Presented at India Water Week The National Water Mission under the Department of Water Resources, Ministry of Jal Shakti, will host a high-level PF5: Session on Best Practices on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM as part of the National Water Convention. The session will be Chaired by Shri Rajesh Toppo, Secretary, Water Resources, Government of Chhattisgarh, and Co-Chaired by Shri Atul Jain, Ex-Chairman, Central Water Commission (CWC). The session is being coordinated by Shri Nelapatla Ashok Babu, Director, National Water Mission. The 90-minute power-packed session will showcase five of India’s most successful water management models: The agenda includes opening remarks by the Chair, four technical presentations of 12 minutes each, an open house Q&A session, and concluding remarks by the Co-Chair. The selection of Chhattisgarh Water Resources Secretary Rajesh Toppo to chair this national session highlights Chhattisgarh’s growing national leadership in water governance and sustainable resource management.
