Countdown Begins for Union Cabinet Expansion: BJP Top Brass Hints at Youth-Centric Reshuffle

Speculation over a major Union Cabinet reshuffle has intensified in the national capital, with political circles buzzing about a youth-centric revamp and fresh ministerial inductions.

The recent resignation of Rajya Sabha MP and Union Minister L. Murugan has given fresh momentum to the reshuffle buzz, indicating that the Central government has geared up for a major cabinet reset.

According to sources, several Union Ministers including George Kurian, Dharmendra Pradhan, and Ravneet Singh Bittu have already stepped down in the last few months. With Hardeep Singh Puri and B.L. Verma not getting Rajya Sabha tickets, it is almost clear that they too will resign soon. Party insiders suggest a few more ministers may resign in the coming days.

Sources in the BJP said the Union Cabinet expansion is likely to take place between Dussehra and Diwali. With the Centre increasingly focusing on youth representation, a highly popular youth face may get a ministerial berth based on his mass appeal and performance, sources added.
