The Madhya Pradesh government will award ₹1 crore to Kranti Goud, a member of the Indian team that won the Women’s World Cup. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav announced on Monday, congratulating the players for the outstanding performance of the nation’s and the state’s daughters in the final match between India and South Africa. He said the daughter of Chhatarpur had brought great pride to the state. The Chief Minister expressed hope that the contributions of young sportspersons from Madhya Pradesh would continue across all disciplines, assuring that the state government would continue to encourage them in the future. On the same occasion, he also launched the Energy Department’s Samadhan Yojana 2025–26 from the MP Power Management Company in Arera Colony. Rebate on outstanding electricity bills A rebate will be offered on the surcharge amount of pending electricity bills. The Chief Minister stated that the Samadhan Yojana will provide relief to consumers in paying their outstanding electricity dues. Under this scheme, domestic, non-domestic, agricultural and industrial consumers (excluding government connections) with arrears of three months or more will receive a waiver on the surcharge amount. Consumers can clear their pending bills either in a single payment or in six instalments. The maximum rebate on the surcharge can go up to ₹1 crore. ​
