BJP on Sunday hit back at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his prediction that the central government would fall. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said Rahul’s statement was like “daydreaming”. Union Minister Piyush Goyal said Rahul’s remarks pointed towards a larger conspiracy involving Congress, other opposition parties and the “toolkit gang”. He alleged that they were collectively trying to destabilise India. Rahul Gandhi had attended a meeting of the Congress minority department’s advisory council on Saturday. According to sources, he said during the meeting that the central government would collapse within a year and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s exit was certain. Piyush Goyal: Conspiracy to set India on fire will not succeed The BJP on Sunday accused Rahul Gandhi of plotting to destabilise the Modi government by creating chaos in the country. The party alleged that Rahul Gandhi was working at the behest of foreign forces. In a post on X, Piyush Goyal wrote that Rahul Gandhi and his “allies” were trying to “incite violence” across the country. He said their hatred for India was so deep that they could not tolerate anything positive happening in the country. He added that the people of India were wise enough to understand the true nature of Rahul Gandhi, the opposition, and the so-called “toolkit gang”, which he claimed was working against national interests. Goyal further said that the public had repeatedly rejected such elements and that the “INDI alliance’s” conspiracy to throw India into turmoil would never succeed. The term “toolkit gang” became widely discussed in India during the 2021 farmers’ protest. At the time, Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg had shared a document titled “Toolkit Document”. She received significant support from opposition leaders. The BJP had alleged that the “toolkit gang” worked to run campaigns, shape narratives and amplify protests online.
