Jeetendra Mishra* as the *first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ram Mandir, Ayodhya.* His appointment was finalised on Sept 1, 2026. He was selected from a pool of over *5,000 applicants* by a 3-member committee headed by Justice (Retd.) Pramod Kohli, Lt Gen (Retd.) V.K. Chaturvedi and former NIT Raipur Chairman Suresh Haware. *PROFILE: Who is Jitendra Mishra?* – Fighter pilot, joined NDA 69th Course in Dec 1985 – Promoted to Air Vice Marshal on July 1, 2019, and Air Marshal on Jan 1, 2023 – Took charge as *Commander-in-Chief, Western Air Command* on Jan 1, 2025 – Led the Western Command *during Operation Sindoor* — his last assignment before retiring on April 30, 2026 The new CEO will oversee the entire temple ecosystem — *day-to-day administration, finances, devotee services, HR, and coordination of major religious events*. He will also be responsible for strengthening administrative arrangements and managing millions of devotees.
