MP to Echo with ‘Ghar-Ghar Gokul, Ghar-Ghar Gopal’ — 55 Districts, 111 Venues, 1500 Artists

Culture Dept’s Mega Shri Krishna Parv on Sept 4 — 101 Children Dressed as Radha-Krishna at CM House

To make Lord Shri Krishna’s birth anniversary a festival of the masses, the Madhya Pradesh Government, through Shri Krishna Pathay Nyas under the Department of Culture, is organizing a grand statewide ‘Shri Krishna Parv’ on September 4 with the theme ‘Ghar-Ghar Gokul, Ghar-Ghar Gopal’.

MP has a deep historical and cultural connection with Shri Krishna. His life inspires friendship, compassion, patience, duty and righteousness. This Parv aims to take this glorious heritage to the masses and connect the new generation with its cultural roots.”

Mega Scale:

• 111 cultural programmes across all 55 districts
• Special decoration in 7500+ Shri Krishna temples
• 1500+ local artists to present Krishna Leela, Bhakti and folk traditions

The main state-level function will be held at the CM House

CM HOUSE HIGHLIGHTS:

The CM House will turn into Vrindavan with:

• Shri Krishna Nritya Natika by Kavita Shaji & Group, Bhopal
• Malkhamb by Dr. Ashish Mehta, Ujjain
• Phoolon ki Holi by Jugalkishore Namdev, Sagar
• Bhajan singing by Tanishk Shukla & Group, Jabalpur
• Matki Phod event depicting Baal Leela of Shri Krishna
• 101 children will participate dressed as Radha-Krishna. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav will gift them Makhan-Mishri, Laddu Gopal idol and a book on Baal Leelas.

After the CM House programme, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav will perform Bhoomi Pujan of Parashuram-Shri Krishna Lok at Janapav, Mhow.

111 SACRED LOCATIONS IDENTIFIED:

Many of the 111 venues are directly linked to Dwapara Yuga and Shri Krishna’s life — Sandipani Ashram-Ujjain, Narayana Dham-Ujjain, Amjhera-Dhar, Janapav-Mhow and Jamgarh-Raisen are among the key ones.

CEO Shri Ram Tiwari said the initiative is to popularize different aspects of Shri Krishna’s life, propagate Sanatan culture and spread his values of patience, friendship and compassion.

STATE TO TURN KRISHNAMAY — KEY VENUES:

• Narayana Dham, Ujjain (Sept 2-6, 7 PM daily): 5-day festival on Krishna-Sudama friendship. Day 1 – Sandipani Ashram leela & Raas Leela ‘Daana Leela’, Day 2 – Kathak ‘Krishnam’ & Makhan Chori, Day 3 – Odissi & Baal Leela, Day 4 – Krishna-Sudama Milap, Day 5 – Geeta Updesh based nritya natika.
• Sandipani Ashram, Ujjain (Sept 2-4, 4 PM): Guru-Shishya parampara, ‘Karshati Iti Krishna’, Bhajan & Bagheli folk, and natika on Krishna learning 64 Kala and 14 Vidya.
• Mahidpur (Sept 2-4): Radha-Krishna prem, Bundeli singing, drama on Shri Krishna Pathay.
• Panna & Amjhera: At Baldev Ji Mandir, Panna (Sept 2) – Baldev-Krishna prasang. At Jugal Kishore Mandir (Sept 3-4) – Pranami tradition based Bharatnatyam. At Amjhera, Dhar (Sept 3-4) – Rukmini Haran & Vivah prasang – Amjhera is considered ancient site of Krishna’s Rukmini Varan.
• Janapav, Mhow (Sept 4, 4 PM): Dance-drama on Lord Parashuram giving Sudarshan Chakra to Shri Krishna, plus special exhibition.

Other one-day programmes will be held at Pali (Umaria), Shahdol, Mandla, Damoh, Rewa, Khategaon on themes like Mathura Pravesh, Govardhan Dharan, Sudama Milan, Kaliya Naag Mardan. At Gopal Mandir, Ujjain – Geet Govind based dance. Similar events at 7 PM on Sept 4 in Agar-Malwa, Raisen, Guna, Gwalior, Chhatarpur, Shivpuri, Jhabua, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Morena, Rajgarh, Indore etc.

1500 LOCAL ARTISTS TO GET BIG STAGE:

Artists from Khargone, Barwani, Khandwa, Rajgarh, Betul, Sehore, Bhopal, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Ujjain, Neemuch, Raisen, Sagar, Satna, Rewa, Singrauli, Sidhi, Katni, Chhindwara, Jhabua, Dhar, Dewas, Narsinghpur, Umaria, Balaghat, Shahdol, Anuppur, Mandla, Dindori, Burhanpur, Niwari, Tikamgarh and others will perform at temples and religious places, making it the biggest platform for local talent linking folk traditions with Krishna Bhakti.
