Blood donation is one of the greatest services to humanity, your blood can give a new life to someone in need: Chief Minister Shri Sai

Chief Minister Shri Sai participated in Ayurveda Seva Sammelan, Blood Donation Mahakumbh and Mega Health Checkup Camp under Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.

The historic initiative of blood donation by more than 1000 women in a single day was registered in the Golden Book of World Records.

Over 3600 women registered, 200 beds were set up for blood donation.

31 people pledged to donate their bodies under Project Dadhichi, Padma Shri and MLA Shri Anuj Sharma also participated.

Service and compassion are reaching those in need through book, toy, and stationery collections.

Blood donation is one of the greatest services to humanity. The blood donated by a donor can save the life of a needy person and become a new hope for his family. Today, a large number of mothers, sisters, youth and people from various sections of society have come forward to donate blood, body and organs, which is an inspiring example of service, sensitivity and social responsibility. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said this while addressing the Ayurveda Seva Sammelan, Blood Donation Mahakumbh and Mass Health Checkup Camp organized under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan at Sardar Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in the capital Raipur today. 

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai wished everyone on National Ayurveda Day and appreciated the spirit of service of the citizens who pledged to donate blood, body and organs.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that since September 17th, the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, various programs for public service and welfare are being organized across the state through the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. This service campaign is connecting every segment of society. From blood donation to collecting books, toys, and stationery for needy children, numerous activities are giving this campaign a broad public participation dimension.

He said that the Ayurveda Service Conference and Blood Donation Mahakumbh, organized on National Ayurveda Day, are powerful examples of this spirit of service. Especially, the large number of mothers and sisters coming forward to donate blood is deeply inspiring. More than 1,000 women donated blood in a single day, setting a unique example of human service. The inclusion of this historic initiative in the Golden Book of World Records is a matter of pride for all of Chhattisgarh.

*More than 1000 women’s blood donation initiative sets world record*

The Blood Donation Mahakumbh witnessed a historic display of service and public participation. More than 3,600 women registered for blood donation, and 200 beds were arranged for donations. The initiative of more than 1,000 women donating blood in a single day was recorded in the Golden Book of World Records. Representatives of the Golden Book of World Records presented Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai with a certificate and medal for this achievement.

Chief Minister Shri Sai congratulated all blood donors on this achievement and said that the importance of blood donation is not limited to statistics or records. Each unit of blood is a new hope for life for a needy patient. Every person who comes forward to donate blood makes an invaluable contribution to the service of humanity.

There was a large participation of both men and women in the Blood Donation Mahakumbh. The target was to donate approximately 2,500 units of blood. The Chief Minister said that the growing awareness about blood donation in society and the enthusiastic participation of youth and women further strengthens the values ​​of service.

*Body donation and organ donation are the highest example of human service: Chief Minister*

Chief Minister Shri Sai specially commended the citizens who pledged to donate their bodies and organs under Project Dadhichi. Thirty-one people pledged to donate their bodies at the event, including Padmashree and Dharsiwa MLA Shri Anuj Sharma. So far, 103 people have pledged to donate their bodies under Project Dadhichi.

The Chief Minister said that the commitment to be of service to others even after death is a deeply inspiring spirit of service to humanity. Body donation plays a vital role in advancing medical education and research, while organ donation can give a new lease of life to someone in need. He extended his best wishes to all citizens who have joined this noble pledge.

Chief Minister Shri Sai, while extending his greetings on National Ayurveda Day, said that Ayurveda is an invaluable heritage of India’s ancient knowledge tradition. The rich tradition of healthy living and medicine, developed thousands of years ago by great scholars like Lord Dhanvantari and Charaka-Sushruta, continues to pave the way for human welfare.

He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Ayurveda, Yoga, and Indian medical systems have gained new recognition at the national and global levels. The Ministry of AYUSH is continuously promoting Ayurveda, Yoga, and Naturopathy. Through Arogya Mandirs and Wellness Centers, special attention is being paid to treatment, disease prevention, a healthy lifestyle, and overall health.

The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh government, with the commitment to a healthy and strong Chhattisgarh, is continuously working to expand and strengthen health services in the state. Along with the expansion of modern medical facilities, Indian medical systems such as Ayurveda, Yoga, and Naturopathy are also being promoted. Our endeavor is to provide better, accessible, and quality health services to the citizens of the state.

*In Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, along with blood donation, initiative is also taken for needy children*

As part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, blood donations and health checkups were organized, along with special initiatives to collect books, toys, and stationery for children in need. Separate centers were set up at the venue for book collection, toy collection, and stationery collection.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that service does not mean contributing only in one area, but also stepping forward with sensitivity to support wherever needed in society. This initiative to deliver books, toys, and study materials to children will not only bring smiles to their faces but will also prove useful in their education and development.

The Chief Minister inspected the various activities of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan and the stalls related to Ayurveda at the event venue. He spoke with the organizers and participants, gaining information about the various activities, and encouraged them to actively participate in the service work.

*Health infrastructure is rapidly strengthening in the state: Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal*

Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said that the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is being run from September 17th to October 17th, the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. In this series, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, a target of approximately 2,500 units of blood was set at the Blood Donation Mahakumbh. He said that blood donation can save the life of a needy person and the voluntary participation of such a large number of citizens demonstrates the strength of the spirit of service in society.

Health Minister Shri Jaiswal said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the state’s health infrastructure is being continuously expanded. Super-specialty health services are being expanded in Jagdalpur and Bilaspur. Medical education and health services have been strengthened through new medical colleges. Through the Ayushman Bharat scheme, eligible citizens are also being provided treatment at private hospitals. The state is also progressing steadily in the field of maternal and child health.

He stated that, in addition to allopathy, facilities are being expanded in the fields of Ayurveda, yoga, and naturopathy. Four new yoga and naturopathy hospitals are being developed in the state. A new 100-bed Ayurvedic hospital is being constructed in front of NIT Raipur, while construction of a new Ayurvedic hospital building is also underway in Bilaspur.

The Health Minister urged the citizens to take maximum benefit of the Ayush Mela, health check-up camps and health facilities being provided by the government.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma, MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal, MLA Shri Sunil Soni, MLA and Padmashree Shri Anuj Sharma, MLA Shri Prabodh Minj, along with chairmen of various corporations and boards, administrative officers, officers and jawans of paramilitary forces and army and a large number of citizens were present in the programme.
